Number of rotations?
Most common brands do well with 800 rotations in both directions. This what our default settings are based on. You can modify it to suit your needs with a switch on the back or via the bluetooth mobile app. Different movements might require a specific setting - for example: 800 rotations CCW.
Where can this be purchased?
At this moment, WINDER1 can be pre-ordered on this website. We are working with our friends to extend the list of distributors where you will be able to see the device in person or order it from your prefered location.
Is it really silent?
Yes, Silent. It took very long time to develop and test our concept, but the results were worth it. We aslo took a different approach with the mechanics and electronics that is based on our extensive experience and research. This also resulted in substantially extending the lifecycle of our product.
What do you mean by "solid materials"?
No cheap plastic. We strive for quality over quantity and our productions numbers per year are not high. For example: The housing is made out of steel that is powder coated for extra durability. The winding mechanism is made out of beefy solid steel components, aluminium components milled out of a solid billet and driven by a Swiss Made belt. All this is assembled and fit by hand in our manufacturing facility in Europe. You can learn more about it at the WHY? page.
What do you know about winders???
We are a team of watchmakers and designers by trade with more than 15 years of experience. We know the industry inside and out. We took a long time to do our research and design these. We listened to our customers and beta testers and addressed all the key issues we found. The result of this is WINDER1.
Where is the WINDER1 made?
We design and build these in our own manufacturing facility in Sofia, Bulgaria. This way we have control over all processes and we can make sure the product is as good as it can be.
How to setup my winder?
WINDER1 is ready for use as soon as you plug the power cord. It is set to the most common winding specification. If your watch movement requires a different setup, chaning the setting is as easy as rotating the two knobs at the back of WINDER1. The left knob is used for directional setings and the right knob is used for the turns per day setting. You can also download our mobile app and setup your WINDER1 via your mobile phone.
How do I attach my watch?
Strap it to the soft velvet cushion and firmly press the cushion into the watch cradle. We went with a cushion as it presents a lot of pros - no noise, no way to scratch your watch, no jamming of cheap plastic and it can accomodate all sizes.
